Report: Packers Receiver Jordy Nelson Diagnosed With Torn ACL (Video)

The 2015 NFL season might have ended Sunday for Jordy Nelson.

The Green Bay Packers wide receiver was diagnosed with a torn ACL after landing awkwardly during a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Nelson had a career year last season, notching career highs in catches (98) and receiving yards (1,519) while also hauling in 13 touchdowns from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Should Nelson be lost for the season, Randall Cobb (91 catches, 1,287 yards, 12 touchdowns in 2014) would become Green Bay’s unquestioned No. 1 receiver, while second-year wideout Davante Adams (38 catches, 446 yards, three scores) likely would see his role grow, as well.
