ESPN struck gold years and years ago when it debuted the “This Is SportsCenter” line of commercials.
The spots started running in 1994 and have evolved into some of the best commercials in all of sports and TV. They always seem to be hilarious and often include some of sports’ biggest stars.
Over the years, those guest-starring appearances have featured a handful of the biggest names in Boston sports. That continued Monday when ESPN released its latest “This Is SportsCenter” commercial featuring New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. He joins the likes of athletes and figures like Cam Neely, the Boston Celtics’ “Big Three” and even Wally the Green Monster.
