The New York Islanders are moving to Brooklyn, which means they need to Brooklyn-ize their uniforms. Apparently, that means they need to embrace black and white.
The Islanders on Wednesday unveiled their new third jerseys, which the team billed as “Brooklyn-themed.” The new sweaters are almost entirely black and white, featuring just a little bit of color on the back inside collar and on the stick in the main logo on the front.

Islanders fans seem to be taking it well, and by well, we mean they seem to be furious.
@thereluctantk @NYIslanders @brettyormark and I'm not even opposed to blk and wht being used in 3rd jersey. Just do it well. This is crap.

The Islanders will still be referred to as the “New York Islanders” despite moving from Long Island to Brooklyn, and they’ll also keep their blue and orange jerseys for most games.
