The Bruins, who began their preseason slate Sunday with a 2-0 win over the New Jersey Devils at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I., will look to continue that success against the Capitals while preparing for what Boston hopes will be a bounce-back campaign.
No matter the score, the Bruins and Capitals also will play some 3-on-3 overtime hockey Tuesday to test a new OT format approved by the NHL over the offseason.
The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. ET.
