Brad Marchand’s Two-Goal Game For Bruins Ends In Ejection (Video)

Boston Bruins winger Brad Marchand turned in his first two-goal game of the season Friday night, but he was not around to see the end of it.

With just over two minutes to play in an eventual 3-1 win over the Florida Panthers, Marchand was assessed a five-minute boarding major and a game misconduct for a hit from behind on Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov.

It remains to be seen whether the hit, which broke Kulikov’s nose, will earn Marchand a call from the NHL’s Department of Player Safety.

Marchand defended his actions after the game, via the Sun Sentinel’s Harvey Fialkov:

Marchand, who scored a power-play goal in the first period and another at even strength in the second, has recorded at least a point in each of his last five games.
