Bruins Prospect Frank Vatrano Scores Four Goals In Providence Win (Video)

Boston Bruins prospect Frank Vatrano put on quite the show Sunday down in Providence.

Playing for the Bruins’ AHL affiliate, Vatrano exploded for four goals on just six shots as the P-Bruins won 6-4 over the Portland Pirates.

The UMass product and East Longmeadow, Mass., native scored twice in the first period (including one 7 seconds after puck drop) and twice more in the third to up his two-game goal total to five.

Vatrano, who appeared in five games for Providence last season after signing a free-agent contract in March, spent training camp with the big club. The 21-year-old forward failed to record a point in three preseason games but displayed many positives before ultimately being sent down.
