It appears the Houston Texans’ quarterback controversy has been solved.
Brian Hoyer replaced a struggling Ryan Mallet under center during Houston’s game against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, and he quickly made the most of his opportunity.
As the first half came to a close, Hoyer found Jaelen Strong on a 42-yard Hail Mary for a touchdown. It also was Strong’s first career NFL reception, which makes the play even more spectacular.

What. A. Play.
The score wasn’t enough to steal the Texans a win, as the Colts took the game 27-20. But perhaps it will earn Hoyer the permanent starter’s gig going forward.
