Paul Aguilar played an important part in Mexico’s first extra-time goal Saturday against the U.S. men’s national team. He played an even bigger one in the second.
It appeared the game was heading for penalty kicks after the U.S. evened the score early in the second extra-time period at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Bobby Wood’s goal. But Aguilar had different plans.
Instead, Aguilar scored an unbelievable goal in the 118th minute, clinching the CONCACAF Cup with a 3-2 win and a trip to the 2017 Confederations Cup for Mexico.
