Everyone loves a good college football rivalry, and it’s hard to find a better one than Alabama-LSU.
But a few Crimson Tide fans took things way, way too far earlier this week.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash between the two SEC titans, a few fans at an Alabama off-campus apartment building somehow thought it’d be a good idea to hang this sign:

We know college kids are prone to doing pretty dumb stuff, but there’s really no excuse for a sign like this. What makes this banner even more deplorable is that LSU’s star player, Leonard Fournette, lost his New Orleans home as a result of the storm.
The sign was quickly taken down, according to Alabama’s school newspaper, but not before Fournette heard about it.
Inspire us to go harder love my savages…….

Alabama released a statement Friday night addressing the sign.
UA is appalled that anyone would display a banner with such an inappropriate and offensive statement. (1 of 2)

It’s our understanding that the banner was hung at an off-campus apartment complex and it has been removed. (2 of 2)
