Arkansas Upsets No. 18 Ole Miss After Blind Lateral On Long Fourth Down (Video)

It was all over.

No. 18 Ole Miss had the Arkansas Razorbacks right where it wanted them with Arkansas facing a fourth-and-25 during the first overtime of Saturday’s crucial SEC clash. It looked even better for the Rebels when Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen completed a pass to Hunter Henry well short of the first-down line.

As long as some ridiculous play didn’t happen, Ole Miss’ College Football Playoff and SEC title hopes would live to see another day. But something ridiculous did happen, and it cost the Rebels dearly.

As he was getting tackled, Henry tossed the ball back to Alex Collins on a blind lateral, and Collins extended the game with a first-down run.

Unbelievable.

The Razorbacks scored a touchdown two plays later, and they decided to go for a two-point conversion to win the game. Ole Miss defended the conversion try perfectly until a blatant facemask gave Arkansas one more shot to win the game.

The Razorbacks didn’t let the second chance go to waste, as Allen ran it in to give his team the 53-52 upset win.
