Brett Favre Takes Break From Hunting To Congratulate Peyton Manning (Video)

The moment Peyton Manning broke Brett Favre’s NFL passing record Sunday, Favre was hanging out in a tree in the middle of the woods. It is deer season, after all, and the former Green Bay Packers great is an avid hunter.

But that didn’t stop him from passing on congratulations from one surefire Hall of Famer to another.

Manning passing Favre was the lone bright spot on an otherwise disastrous afternoon for the Denver Broncos quarterback, who had nearly as many interceptions (four) as completions (five) and was relegated to the bench early in the third quarter in a 29-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Backup Brock Osweiler finished off the game for the Broncos and could be in line to start Sunday, as Manning reportedly is dealing with a partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot. Osweiler has yet to start a game in three-plus NFL seasons.
