It looks as though next week’s New England Patriots-Denver Broncos matchup won’t be the rematch everyone was hoping for between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
ESPN’s Chris Mortenson reported Monday that Manning will take a seat for the second straight week come Week 12’s edition of “Sunday Night Football.” Broncos coach Gary Kubiak confirmed backup Brock Osweiler will start in Manning’s stead once again.

Manning is battling rib injuries as well as a partially torn plantar fascia in his foot. He completed just five of his 20 attempts for 35 yards and four interceptions in the Broncos’ Week 10 game against the Kansas City Chiefs and was benched in favor of Osweiler.
Osweiler earned a 17-15 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns with a 74.1 completion percentage.
