Six weeks to the day after the puck dropped on their 2015-16 regular season, the Boston Bruins sit at exactly .500: Eighteen games, nine wins and nine losses, with eight of those defeats coming in regulation and one requiring overtime.
That record is fitting, as the Bruins’ season thus far has included equal parts promise, frustration, progress and setbacks.
A three-game losing streak on home ice to begin the season preceded a stretch that included six wins in seven games. The Bruins went on to lose three of the next four games, then rebounded to take two of three at TD Garden, culminating in Thursday’s 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
