It’s official: Jeets is getting hitched.
Derek Jeter confirmed his engagement to model Hannah Davis, but he had a rather strange way of going about it. The former New York Yankees shortstop wrote a post on The Players’ Tribune about his Italian Mastiff, Kane, and he casually slipped in a reference about Davis and their marriage plans.
“I had no idea what I was in for as a new dog owner,” Jeter wrote. “He was a Christmas gift last year from my fiancée, whose family had Mastiffs growing up. I’ve never owned a pet in my life.”
Smooth.
The rest of the post actually was about the dog, so we’re not too sure if the wedding has a date yet. However, we do hope Kane is involved in some way because he’s pretty awesome.
