NFL Week 16 Playoff Picture: How Patriots Can Clinch AFC’s No. 1 Seed

The New England Patriots are one step closer to checking off another box on their list of 2015 goals.

After locking up the AFC East earlier this month and clinching a first-round bye via Sunday’s win against the Tennessee Titans, the Pats are looking to lock up the No. 1 seed in the AFC — which would mean home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

They’ll travel to MetLife Stadium this weekend for a tough matchup with the 9-5 New York Jets that Vegas thinks will be pretty close. Here’s how they can get the job done, via NFL.com:

New England clinches home-field advantage throughout AFC playoffs with:

1) NE win OR

2) NE tie + CIN loss or tie
