David Price and the Boston Red Sox agreeing to a seven-year, $217 million deal is huge for more than one reason.
As you might or might not know, besides being an ace pitcher, Price also happens to own one of the best dogs in baseball: Astro, a French bulldog. Astro has been around since Price was on the Tampa Bay Rays and is a mainstay at the ballpark.
Astro is so beloved that Price even included the dog in his thank you ad to Rays fans after he was traded to the Detroit Tigers in August 2014.
Price brings Astro pretty much wherever he can, so expect to see him at Fenway Park every once in a while. There’s a good chance he’ll get his own Red Sox jersey, too.
