Von Miller could be $8,681 poorer.

The Broncos linebacker was fined by the NFL for an illegal hit on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the third quarter of the Patriots’ 30-24 overtime loss Sunday night, Miller told The Denver Post.

Miller was flagged for a 15-yard roughing-the-passer penalty — a fine for that infraction normally costs a player $17,363 — after leaping at an already-sacked Brady on the ground. Miller’s $8,681 fine is what the NFL dishes out to players for late hits.

“They got me,” Miller told The Post. “I am going to appeal, though.”

Miller was not flagged or fined for leaving his feet and launching at Brady later in the game.
