New England Patriots quarterback Tom BradyMonday marks the one-year anniversary of the day NFL fans found out that some people really, really care about the air pressure in footballs.

On Jan. 18, 2015, hours after the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts, WTHR.com columnist Bob Kravitz broke the news that the Patriots used under-inflated footballs during the game. The report turned into Deflategate and launched a months-long saga that was full of drama and hot takes.

From Patriots head coach Bill Belichick dropping “My Cousin Vinny” references in a press conference to former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aiken claiming what Tom Brady “probably” did was worse than Bountygate, there were plenty of moments that made our jaws drop.
