Peyton Manning Would Make $2M With Win Vs. Patriots In AFC Championship

Peyton Manning will be playing for $2 million Sunday when the Broncos take on the New England Patriots in Denver.

The Broncos quarterback took a pay cut before the 2015 season, reducing his base salary to $15 million from its previous $19 million. However, Manning’s restructured contract included two new incentives that would allow him to earn that money back.

Manning will receive $2 million if the Broncos win the AFC Championship Game and another $2 million if they win Super Bowl 50, according to FOX Sports. So, Tom Brady and the Patriots don’t just stand between Manning and an AFC title, but a major payday as well.

Currently, the Patriots are favored to move on to the Super Bowl, so things aren’t looking good for Manning. We have a feeling he will be all right either way, though, as he’s earned over $244 million in his career in salary alone, according to Spotrac.
