Lira on Monday won the 2015 FIFA Puskas Award for best goal of the year. Lira claimed the award at FIFA’s 2015 Ballon d’Or gala in Zurich.

Voters from around the world picked the bicycle kick Lira scored on March 11 for Goianesia as the best of the bunch.
Lira’s strike bested Lionel Messi’s goal for Barcelona against Athletic Bilbao and Alessandro Florenzi’s long-range effort for AS Roma against Barcelona.
