When you’re in a groove, good things happen. Brad Marchand can personally testify to that.

The Boston Bruins winger scored his ninth goal in the past nine games Saturday, but this time it came on a penalty shot in overtime to defeat the Buffalo Sabres, 2-1. Marchand was hooked by Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen and awarded the shot, which he buried thanks to a slight deke before backhanding a high shot over a sprawling Robin Lehner.
