The Boston Bruins will send seven players to Toronto this fall to participate in the World Cup of Hockey.

David Krejci and David Pastrnak were named to Team Czech Republic, while Patrice Bergeron (Team Canada), Zdeno Chara (Team Europe), Dennis Seidenberg (Europe), Tuukka Rask (Team Finland) and Loui Eriksson (Team Sweden) also made the cut.

Boston’s seven selections were tied with the Washington Capitals and Detroit Red Wings for third-most in the NHL. The Tampa Bay Lightning (10) and Chicago Blackhawks (nine) finished first and second in that category.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban was arguably the biggest surprise left off the initial 16-player rosters announced Wednesday.

Jerseys for the tournament also were released.
