With Cruz on the campaign trail and Allen in the NCAA Tournament — until the Blue Devils lost Thursday, that is — the doppelganger pair has received plenty of attention. So, CNN’s Betsy Klein decided to finally confront Cruz on Friday about his alarming resemblance to the Duke guard.

Cruz stands at just 5-foot-8 while Allen is listed at 6-foot-5, but we’re still not convinced they’re different people. Still, Cruz continued to lightheartedly deny he’s not Allen, claiming he “doesn’t have the hops” to be the 20-year-old guard.
