Cam Newton Apparently Turning To Water Polo As New Offseason Workout

The last time we saw Cam Newton (we’ve erased the hat thing from our memory), he was under fire for his Super Bowl performance both on and off the field. He has, however, shall we say … resurfaced.

Newton’s got his head back above water, as the Carolina Panthers quarterback and reigning NFL MVP apparently is introducing water polo to his offseason workout regimen. The USA water polo team on Monday night tweeted this photo of Newton getting his water polo on:

Honestly, that looks incredibly terrifying for anyone in or around that pool. Can you imagine what sort of shot a guy like Newton — who threw for more than 3,800 yards — must have in a water polo match? Mercy.

Newton’s well aware of the damage he could do, according to this post on his Instagram page Monday night.
