Milan Lucic is more than just a hard-hitting grinder.

Lucic always will be known for his rough-and-tough style of play, but he also showed some finesse Thursday night during the Los Angeles Kings’ 3-0 win over the Calgary Flames. The former Boston Bruins forward set up Jeff Carter with a jaw-dropping “Spin-O-Rama” pass for Los Angeles’ second goal.

Sure, threading the needle isn’t really Lucic’s specialty. Neither is whipping around on his skates. But the 27-year-old is capable of impacting the game in so many ways. So perhaps we shouldn’t really be surprised when he digs into his bag of tricks for something beyond the norm.

Lucic’s assist was his 34th of the season, putting him one helper short of matching his career high, set in both 2011-12 and 2013-14.
