FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots are trying their luck at drafting another wide receiver.

The Patriots selected Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell with the 112th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Mitchell caught 58 passes for 865 yards with five touchdowns in 2015. He had 174 receptions for 2,350 yards with 16 touchdowns in his four-year college career.

Mitchell ran a 4.45-second 40-yard dash with a 6.94-second 3-cone, 4.34-second short shuttle, 36-inch vertical leap and 10-foot, 9-inch broad jump at 6 feet, 198 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Mitchell has the potential to play outside in the X receiver role for the Patriots.

Mitchell tore his ACL and missed his 2013 college season. He also played cornerback for Georgia.
