Times have been tough for the Texas A&M football program ever since Johnny Manziel left for the NFL Draft in 2013. And the Aggies’ troubles only got worse Wednesday night

Things were looking up for the Aggies following back-to-back 8-5 seasons, as they scored a commitment from five-star quarterback recruit Tate Martell. But Martell announced he had decommitted from Texas A&M late Wednesday night.

Now the story shifts to Aggies wide receivers coach Aaron Moorehead, who tweeted out a statement about loyalty six minutes later.

And he just kept on tweeting.

Things got even worse for Texas A&M when recruit Mannie Netherly announced he won’t be joining the Aggies, either.

Moorehead eventually did some much-needed damage control Thursday morning with a followup tweet.

But the damage already looks done.
