Bill Belichick States The Obvious After Dion Lewis Returns To Patriots Practice

FOXBORO, Mass. — It’s not even July yet, and Bill Belichick already is in midseason form.

The notoriously tight-lipped New England Patriots head coach has addressed the media four times since his team began organized team activities earlier this month, and each encounter has featured Belichick at his finest, a master in the art of curmudgeonliness.

His latest terse reply came Monday, after Patriots running back Dion Lewis was seen practicing for the first time since tearing his ACL last November.

When asked whether it was good to have Lewis, who had been a breakout star for New England before the Week 7 knee injury that ended his season, back on the practice field, Belichick offered a one-word response: “Yes.”

There’s Bill for you.
