The Toronto Blue Jays and Colorado Rockies endured a very, very long night Tuesday after a vicious hailstorm delayed their game by nearly three hours.
The deluge of ice and rain flooded not only the playing surface at Coors Field, but also the dugouts and parts of the Rockies’ clubhouse.
We are still in a weather delay.

“There was talk about possibly canceling it,” Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said, via MLB.com. “I’ve never seen hail like that. I’ve seen hail, but not that amount. So, it was kind of neat. But I can’t believe the field was in that good of shape after all of that.”
Neither team’s offense was hindered by the nasty weather. The teams combined for 23 runs and 32 hits in the contest, with Toronto plating at least one run in each of the final seven innings en route to a 14-9 win.
The game itself lasted nearly four hours.
