Brock Lesnar, Jon Jones Reportedly Tested Positive For Same Substance At UFC 200

Brock Lesnar might have a bit of a tougher time defending his recent comments about Jon Jones.

Lesnar defeated Mark Hunt in UFC 200’s heavyweight bout but recently was told he potentially failed two drug tests. As it turns out, the drug Lesnar tested positive for was hydroxy-clomiphene, a source confirmed to MMAFighting.com. That’s the same anti-estrogen agent that Jones tested positive for ahead of UFC 200.

Lesnar took his test June 28, and the results didn’t come in until after his bout with Hunt, allowing him to participate in the heavyweight showdown in Las Vegas. Jones wasn’t as lucky, as the results of the June 16 test were revealed the Wednesday before his scheduled bout with Daniel Cormier, forcing him out of competition.

Jones’ absence made Lesnar the new UFC 200 headliner, and the 39-year-old blasted Jones the day after his test results by calling him “unprofessional.” Now it appears the same situation applies to Lesnar.

Both Lesnar and Jones could face action from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and receive a fine or a suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission. Lesnar took home $2.5 million from the fight purse alone.
