ORIGINAL STORY: The Loui Eriksson era with the Boston Bruins is over.
The 30-year-old winger has signed a six-year contract worth a total of $36 million with the Vancouver Canucks, per Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos.
It’s a good fit for Eriksson. He’ll likely be on the first line alongside Henrik and Daniel Sedin, both of whom have played with Eriksson during international competition on Sweden, including the Winter Olympics.
Eriksson spent three seasons with the Bruins. The first was hampered by multiple concussions, but he bounced back well. He tallied 63 points (30 goals, 33 assists) in 82 games for Boston last season.
