Baseball isn’t the fastest-paced sport out there, so we’d forgive a young kid if he or she had trouble paying attention at the ballpark.

But one young Pittsburgh Pirates fan put on a clinic for supporters of all ages Sunday.

The Pirates were in for the long haul against the Washington Nationals, as the teams duked it out for an incredible 18 innings. That’s enough to put any kid to sleep, but not this intrepid young fan, who went through every emotion imaginable during the marathon contest:

There are too many awesome moments here to count, but the highlight might be our young hero’s reaction to Daniel Murphy’s game-tying solo homer in the ninth.

Of course, a happy ending was in store for Pittsburgh’s biggest fan, as Starling Marte’s 18th-inning homer lifted the Pirates to a 2-1 win.
