Bryan Stork Reportedly Mulling Retirement After Trade From Patriots

The plot continues to thicken regarding Bryan Stork’s exit from New England.

It initially was reported Wednesday morning that the Patriots had released Stork, their former starting center. Then, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport a few hours later broke the news that Stork had, in fact, been traded to the Washington Redskins before his release was made official.

Now, it appears he might never end up playing a down for the Skins.

Former Redskins tight end-turned-D.C. sports radio host Chris Cooley reported Wednesday afternoon that Stork, who has a long history of concussions, had chosen to retire.

This was followed by several additional reports indicating that Stork is, indeed, considering retirement, though he has yet to make any final decisions.

We will update you on this bizarre story as more information becomes available. This all changes little on the Patriots’ end, however, as the decision to cut ties with Stork made David Andrews their clear No. 1 center.
