Isaiah Thomas is used to making crowds of people jump to their feet in astonishment while playing basketball.
But a room full of NFL players? That’s a new one.
The Boston Celtics guard, a Seattle native, visited the Seahawks on Wednesday before the team’s road trip to Oakland to take on the Raiders in a preseason matchup. Among the things he did on his visit? Put the football team’s basketball skills to shame.
The Seahawks apparently have a shooting competition — complete with a trophy presentation for the winner — as a bonding experience to break up football activities. That competition includes a hoop inside a meeting room where the team presumably watches film and has meetings.
During Thomas’ visit, wide receiver Tyler Lockett took home the Seahawks’ shootout championship, which earned him the right to take on the 5-foot-9 Celtics All-Star for a bonus round.
Let’s just say Lockett and his teammates were pretty impressed.

For those keeping score at home, that was a perfect 12-for-12 performance from IT — something the Seahawks had never seen before, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
12 for 12 from I.T.! Never been done before in our shootoff competition! https://t.co/vrc0z5h2MB

Of course, IT’s competitive spirit wouldn’t let him leave with anything but a victory, to the surprise of no one.
