Jon Jones Accepts Ironic Plea Deal In Drag Racing Case That Led To Arrest

Jon Jones has reached a plea deal for his drag racing incident in March, and the wording that was chosen in the deal is a little bit ironic.

The former UFC champion must attend aggressive driving school, according to TMZ. Jones was arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 24, and issued several citations for aggressive driving. Jones was already on probation for a hit-and-run, according to MMAFighter.com.

No, the driving school isn’t meant to teach drivers how to drift a Ford Focus RS around a track. The school is designed to help those who drive too aggressively to keep other drivers safe.

Jones also was ordered to complete 60 hours of community service, which his rep says he is nearly complete with. If the former light heavyweight champion doesn’t complete the deal, he reportedly will serve up to 90 days in jail.
