Mrs. United States Winner Ashley Stremme Proud To Sling Dirt At Race Tracks

From the Better Half Dash to dirt tracks in North Carolina, Ashley Stremme is a winner in many regards. That continued when Stremme was crowned Mrs. United States 2016 on Thursday.

Mrs. United States, a pageant for married women, featured representation from all 50 states in the country. Stremme, representing her home state of North Carolina, headed to Las Vegas for the the four-day competition and emerged victorious.

Stremme is the wife of former NASCAR driver and current dirt track racer David Stremme. The two manufacture dirt modified chassis for a racing business they co-own.

Stremme is a racer, too. Both her and her father raced near Stremme’s hometown of Mooresville, N.C., earning their racing stripes.

Of course, that meant when given the chance to pick a costume that closely represents her state, she opted for a fire suit.

When she’s not racing or walking down the runway, she’s one of the co-hosts of Motor Racing Network’s “Slingin Dirt.”

When Stremme does race, she often supports the Victory Junction Gang, which gives kids with chronic or life-threatening illnesses a free-of-cost vacation in one of the coolest camps imaginable, or Motor Racing Outreach.

When it comes down to it, this is as much a win for those kids as it is for her.
