Patriots Practice Attendance: Julian Edelman Off PUP, Practices In Pads

FOXBORO, Mass. — Julian Edelman will not begin the 2016 season on the physically unable to perform list. The New England Patriots wide receiver participated in Sunday’s training camp practice and wore pads, like the rest of his team, so he’s off the PUP list.

Edelman missed the beginning of training camp after undergoing offseason foot surgery.

Guard Tre’ Jackson and tight end Clay Harbor also made appearances in pads. Harbor participated in practice, so he’s also off the PUP list. Jackson left after the initial stretching period.

Running back Dion Lewis (PUP), tight end Bryce Williams, offensive lineman Bryan Stork, Jonathan Cooper and Sebastian Vollmer (PUP) and wide receiver Danny Amendola (PUP) didn’t practice.

Running back Donald Brown returned to practice after missing three sessions. Stork, Jackson, Brown and linebacker Jonathan Freeny spent time with trainers on the lower field.
