The Boston Red Sox are winning games again, and David Price would like nothing more than to keep the ball rolling.
Boston has won five in a row, and Price will try to make it six Wednesday night when he starts against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards in the finale of a brief two-game series. The left-handed ace will look to build on his last outing, in which he allowed three runs over eight innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks to pick up his first victory since July 10.
Sandy Leon will catch Price and bat sixth, while Brock Holt will bat seventh and play third base in place of Aaron Hill, who was a late scratch from Tuesday’s game.
Mookie Betts again is batting cleanup amid his torrid stretch. The right fielder has five home runs and 13 RBIs in his last three games and now leads the team with 28 blasts.
Betts and Co. won’t face Orioles ace Chris Tillman, who was scratched from Wednesday’s start, but they’ll have their work cut out for them against right-hander Dylan Bundy, who has allowed a total of three runs in his last three outings.
