Report: Rob Gronkowski’s Injury Is Minor; ‘No Worries’ For Patriots

FOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Their star tight end reportedly will be fine.

The injury Rob Gronkowski suffered in Monday’s joint practice with the Chicago Bears is “minor,” NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday night. Rapoport also tweeted “no worries” about the injury.

Gronkowski pulled up on a pass attempt from quarterback Tom Brady during a 7-on-7 drill Monday against the Bears. The tight end briefly stayed at practice before walking off the field and into the locker room with a trainer.

It’s likely the Patriots will continue to play it safe with Gronkowski, who hasn’t played in a preseason game since 2012.
