Tom Brady’s Favorite Part Of Olympics Was Seeing Gisele Bundchen In Opening Ceremony

FOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady’s favorite Olympic moment thus far didn’t come in the pool, on the balance beam or on the rugby pitch.

It came on the first night of the 2016 Rio Games, when the New England Patriots quarterback’s wife, Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen, took center stage during the Olympic opening ceremony.

“It was amazing to see her out there and do that,” Brady said after Sunday’s training camp practice. “It was the best part of the Olympics for me. And it got over on opening night, so there hasn’t been much reason for me to watch outside of seeing her represent her country.

“It was pretty amazing. She’s an amazing woman, an amazing mother, and she represents the best of Brazil as far as I’m concerned. So, it was an amazing spectacle, and she’s an amazing person.”

Brady’s sentiments echoed those he shared in a Facebook post shortly after Bundchen’s walk.

The QB also used his Facebook page to offer well-wishes to swimmer Michael Phelps, who won his 23rd Olympic gold medal Saturday night, and Patriots teammate Nate Ebner, who made his Olympic debut this past week as a member of the United States rugby sevens team.
