A downpour hit Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro near the beginning of Monday’s track & field events.
Rain in the forecast is something every outdoor athlete dreads. While it affected a few events and delayed several others, it made for some pretty awesome pictures.

The conditions became a bit dangerous for a few of the athletes, ultimately causing the rain delay that lasted nearly an hour.
