At least Manu Ginobili can laugh at his own misfortunes.
The San Antonio Spurs guard underwent testicular surgery in February after being struck in the groin by Ryan Anderson’s knee during a game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Not surprisingly, Ginobili said it was the most painful injury he’s ever suffered, though that didn’t stop the 39-year-old from cracking a joke about his unfortunate situation.
Dan Harris of WOAI in San Antonio started to ask Ginobili during a recent sitdown interview whether he ever heard of the expression, “I’d give my left … ” and the four-time NBA champion interjected by suggesting he gave his right testicle for the Spurs. Ginobili even had an ear-to-ear smile.
Exclusive with Manu: he would only share this with our @DonHarris4 – full interview tomorrow on Sports Sunday. pic.twitter.com/AMijTJq8Fy

Ginobili, who was sidelined for a month after suffering his cringe-worthy injury, has given a lot to the Spurs organization and is a little worse for the wear. But clearly, his personality and his sense of humor remain very much intact.
