Odell Beckham Takes His Relationship With Kicking Net To The Next Level

The NFL is full of themed celebrations, but few players have taken theirs as far as Odell Beckham Jr. did Sunday.

The New York Giants wide receiver, if you’ll recall, took plenty of heat in Week 3 when he punched a kicking net during a sideline outburst. So, the following week, Beckham got clever by “hugging it out” with that same kicking net after his first touchdown of the season.

But it turns out that was just the beginning. After burning the Baltimore Ravens for a 75-yard touchdown Sunday, the 23-year-old immediately ran back to the kicking net and dropped to one knee to “propose” to the inanimate object.

His romantics even produced a new Twitter account, and the two then shared a special moment.

The joke didn’t stop on the field, either. Here’s Beckham on his kicking net proposal after the game, via SportingNews.com:

“Our relationship is growing. I thought we might as well make it serious. I proposed and she said yes. Me and the net are going to get married sometime soon. Hopefully it all works out. I’m 23, so I don’t know much about marriage. She seems like a pretty nice gal.”

Fortunately for the Giants, Beckham’s antics came with a phenomenal game from the All-Pro wideout, who racked up eight catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns in New York’s 27-23 win.

You do you, Odell.
