Patriots Injury Report: Martellus Bennett Questionable After Missing Practice

FOXBORO, Mass. — It turns out Martellus Bennett didn’t practice for the New England Patriots on Friday.

Bennett was spotted walking away from practice as the media was heading to Friday’s session. Bennett (ankle) still is among seven players listed as questionable to play against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Linebacker Jamie Collins and running back Brandon Bolden were removed from the injury report. Cornerback Jonathan Jones (hip) was added as being limited in practice.

Here’s the full list.

QUESTIONABLE
TE Martellus Bennett (ankle)
WR Julian Edelman (foot)
DT Woodrow Hamilton (shoulder)
CB Jonathan Jones (hip)
WR Malcolm Mitchell (hamstring)
LB Elandon Roberts (ankle)
DT Vincent Valentine (back)

Bennett, Edelman, Mitchell and Roberts played in the Patriots’ 27-16 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. The statuses of Bennett, Hamilton, Jones and Valentine are in the air for Sunday’s game.

Bennett and Rob Gronkowski are the only tight ends on the Patriots’ roster after the team traded AJ Derby to the Denver Broncos. Bennett injured his ankle in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns.
