Things got a little R-rated during Sunday’s Patriots-Bills game in Buffalo.
New England wide receiver Chris Hogan was reaching for the end zone on a first-and-goal in the third quarter when a projectile from the stands came flying out of nowhere and landed right in front of him. The CBS announcers thought it was a flag at first, but that turned out not to be the case — not even a little bit.

CBS commentators were questioning if this was a flag thrown on the field. No, that's not a flag. #billsvspats #Bills pic.twitter.com/xoKTaS8bcZ

While there’s no update on who threw the sex toy, we’re going to assume it was a Bills fan trying to distract the Patriots’ offense. The referees had to (very awkwardly) remove the foreign object from the turf.

The internet obviously had a field day, but MLB Network’s Robert Flores asked perhaps the best question.
I mean how does that get through security??? đŸ˜‚#BillsMafia

We really don’t want to know the answer to that.
Despite the, ahem, distraction, New England went on to win 41-25 to improve to 7-1 on the season.
