Athletes Take To Social Media To Get Out The Vote On Election Day
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, Tuesday is Election Day in the United States. And while everyone else was at the polls doing their civic duty, plenty of well known athletes were, too.
From Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald to Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul, athletes took to social media to post their “I voted” stickers and encourage others to do the same. Some shared who they voted for, too.
Fitzgerald shared a photo of himself with his ballot.
Free agent outfielder Josh Reddick was pretty pumped about his sticker.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley got up bright and early to exercise his right.
Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh reminded everyone that voting is more important than his job.
Paul apparently went to the polls dressed to the nines and added an accessory to his suit.
Former NBA point guard Baron Davis revealed his vote went to Hillary Clinton.
Boston Red Sox reliever Robbie Ross Jr. voted for the first time.
Former NFL wideout Lance Moore encouraged his followers to do their part.
Former NFL punter Chris Kluwe turned his love of politics into action.
Free agent pitcher Brandon Morrow had company with him at the polls.
And New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett cast his vote for Clinton, too.
