Tom Brady’s Son Crashes His Radio Interview, Compares Him To A Donkey

Even Tom Brady’s kids say the darnedest things.

The New England Patriots quarterback made his weekly appearance on Westwood One radio Monday, and host Jim Gray ended up getting a special guest on the show, too. Brady’s 6-year-old son Benny entered the room while his dad was on the phone and proceeded to give a hilarious take on the Patriots’ 22-17 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.

“He was playing against the green guys,” Benny said of the game. “I don’t know what they’re called, but they’re very good.”

OK, so Benny’s assessment of the 3-8 Jets wasn’t exactly on the money, but he did give more insight into Brady’s injuries than coach Bill Belichick ever has.

“Great,” Benny said when Gray asked how his dad played. “He flipped his chest. And he tripped, too. And he got even more hurt. He’s like a donkey.”

Benny might be on to something here, as Brady did look pretty similar to a donkey on a blocking attempt in the first quarter of Sunday’s game. But when Gray asked in what way Brady was like a donkey, Benny’s answer was even cuter.

“In a crazy way,” Benny said. “His next fight with the Broncos is going to be crazy. He’s going to be like a horse next time.”

The Patriots actually play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, so we’ll have to wait another two weeks to see if Brady looks more like a horse when New England heads to Denver in Week 14.

You can listen to Benny at the 4:15 mark of Brady’s Westwood One interview.
