You can’t stop David Pastrnak, you can only hope to contain him.

That’s probably how NHL defensemen and goaltenders feel right now as Pastrnak continues to score goals at an impressive pace.

After scoring twice, including the game winner in overtime Monday night against the Florida Panthers, Pastrnak added another goal in the second period of Wednesday night’s game in Washington.

He showed impressive strength to win the puck in the neutral zone before beating Capitals goalie Braden Holtby with a nice backhand shot.

Pastrnak now has scored 16 goals on the season, which is a new career high. His 16 goals also rank second in the league behind Patrik Laine and Sidney Crosby.
