NFL Rumors: Seahawks ‘Will Listen To Trade Offers For Earl Thomas’

The once-vaunted Seattle Seahawks defense could look much different next season.

Defensive end Michael Bennett was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday, and cornerback Richard Sherman’s future in Seattle is in question, too.

He’s not alone, though, as NFL Media’s Mike Silver reported Wednesday that the Seahawks will listen to other teams’ interest in another Legion of Boom member, safety Earl Thomas.

Thomas has spent his entire nine-year career with the Seahawks after they drafted him in the first round in 2010. He didn’t miss a single game over his first six seasons, but injuries have forced him to miss seven games over the last two years.

Thomas is 28 years old, so if the Seahawks can acquire a quality draft pick or a couple draft selections that can be used to get younger in the secondary, they definitely should consider making a move.
