19-1.
That’s how much the Boston Red Sox have outscored the Los Angeles Angels by during the first two contests of their three-game set at Angel Stadium.
Boston’s offense belted six home runs in a 10-1 Game 1 win over Shohei Ohtani, and Rafael Devers provided most of the pop in Game 2, smashing a grand slam in the third inning en route to a 9-0 win Wednesday.
The Sox have won six games in a row and will look to complete the sweep of LA on Thursday when they send left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound. The southpaw is coming off a quality start in his last outing, as he allowed one run in six innings of work against the Baltimore Orioles.
Boston’s lineup will look a little different than its Game 2 configuration. Andrew Benintendi slides back into the No. 2 spot in the order and will play center field with Jackie Bradley Jr. getting the night off. Hanley Ramirez (DH) and J.D. Martinez (LF) each will move back into their usual 3-4 spots in the order.
The Angels will counter with right-hander Nick Tropeano who was solid in his only start of the season, tossing 6 2/3 shutout innings in a win over the Kansas City Royals.
